Ideologi Konversasi ( Studi Kasus pada Wawancara terhadap Barack Obama oleh Putra Nababan

Abstract

People as a social creature use language to communicate. One way to communicate is conversation which has rule in interaction such as turn taking and adjacency pair. Beside conversation analysis, it is essential to identify other issue in discourse analysis, namely implicit asumption to know the implicit meaning of the speaker. In interaction there is an assumption phenomenon involving power between speakers in turn taking and adjacency pair, as well as overlapping called  ideology which has close relation with language. Speaker tends to show his/her power to others for many reason, such as to control the turn, to control the type of adjacency pairs, and to show his/her social status.   Key words : turn taking, adjacency pair, ideology, power, implicit assumption
